HYDROMANAGEMENT also focuses on research and development (R&D) projects. Two indicative examples follow (funded from National Strategic Reference Framework 2002-2013):

A pilot plant of an anaerobic digester and an innovative energy production system consisting of a hydrogen fuel cell, has been installed and is in operation in a Winery. Next goal is a prototype production.

An observation network has been deployed in a case-study area in northern Greece, with meteorological stations and groundwater measurement stations. A specific software was developed that can edit and manage the estimations available from the climate change models. Using these field data, we investigate their validity, collect measurements and result to conclusions that will be useful in the evaluation of similar estimations in other regions as well.

Under the Operational Programme 2014-2020 "Competiveness - Entrepreneurship - Innovation"

Hydromanagement cooperates with the General Secretariat for Research and Technology and is active in a variety of ongoing national programs. Moreover, it is a member of wider international consortia and active in proposals for European programs such as Horizon 2020 and Interreg.
